Meet The Team

Our services are providedby an experienced team led by 3 qualified accountants, ensuring a complete and quality service to all of our clients.

Our staff participate in regular training, in-house and externally to ensure the highest quality in delivery of accounting, taxation and payroll services.

Catherine Maciocia ACMA


Catherine is the leader of the team here at Fife Business Services.  A qualified Accountant with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, she has over 20 years’ experience in Industry at Divisional Director level and over 10 years in practice running her own company. Catherine’s main areas of expertise are Investor Ready and fund raising work, business review and strategy implementation, Management Information systems development and FD level support.

Alanna Lumsden FCCA

Client Manager

Alanna joined the team in June 2016 after almost 16 years working at a practice in Glenrothes. Alanna attended Fife College where she gained her HND in Accounting and Finance then went on to complete her ACCA exams.  She became a fully qualified Chartered Certified Accountant in 2005.

Gemma Neilson

Office Manager

Gemma joined the team in June 2015. Gemma has fantastic customer service skills and is usually the first point of contact for our clients.

Ashleigh Scotland

Accounts Department

Ashleigh currently works as a Trainee Accountant and has been a member of the FBS team since September 2016. During Ashleigh’s first two years at FBS, she worked as part the Payroll team as a Payroll Administrator whilst studying for Accounting qualifications at college. Ashleigh now has an HND in Accounting and is currently studying through ACCA in her own time with the goal of becoming a fully chartered Accountant.

Caroline Matson

Accounts Department

Caroline currently works as a Senior Trainee Accountant at Fife Business Services and has been a member of the team since October 2016. Caroline is Part Qualified ACCA and has a BA (Hons) Accounting & Economics. Before joining the FBS team, Caroline previously worked for Mazrs LLP in Edinburgh and prior to that at RMS Tenon and Baker Tilly. Caroline grew up in a small village just outside of Dunfermline and has been in accounting since leaving university, saying “I’m a number cruncher, it’s the only job for me!” While not at work, Caroline likes to spend her time watching the Fife Flyers play, going to the cinema and going to concerts.

Yvonne Allan

Payroll Supervisor

Yvonne is the Payroll Supervisor at Fife Business Services and has worked for the company since June 2017. Yvonne has qualifications for both Sage Payroll and Xero Payroll and has over ten years experience in the Payroll profession. Prior to joining the FBS team, Yvonne worked for Eurojet Scotland as an Office Manager for more than a decade and in her free time, while not at work, she enjoys travelling as much as she can.

Janette Smith

Payroll Department

Janette has been a member of the FBS team since August 2017 when she originally began working as part of the Admin team. Janette now works as a Payroll Administrator after deciding she wanted a new challenge. Before working at Fife Business Services, Janette worked as a Fishery Assistant at Marine Scotland for 13 years. Janette also has an SQA Higher National Unit in Financial Accounting Software.

Jacqui Nicoll

Payroll Department

Jacqui joined the team in November 2017 from a payroll background.

Louise Cree

Admin Department

Louise currently works as an Administration Assistant for Fife Business Services and has been a member of the FBS team since September 2016. As well as being a member of the Admin team, Louise is also FBS’ Digital Marketer after having gained an HNC in Digital Marketing through a Modern Apprenticeship with the company. Her previous qualifications include an HNC in Social Sciences and Highers from High School. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, as well as going to concerts.

Eva Maciocia

Admin Department

Eva currently works as an Administration Assistant for Fife Business Services Ltd and has done so since January 2018. Eva is qualified with an HND in Management and Catering. Eva grew up in Kirkcaldy and has a wealth of previous experience in the hospitality sector but decided she wanted a change in career when she joined the FBS team. While not at work Eva enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Rachel Leitch

Admin Department

Rachel currently works as an Administration Assistant, as well as a Payroll Administrator, for Fife Business Services and has been a member of the team since March 2018. Rachel is currently working hard to complete her modern apprenticeship in Business Administration. Her previous qualifications include an HND in Art and Design and numerous Highers from High School. Before joining the team at Fife Business Services, Rachel worked at New Look in Kirkcaldy for four and a half years.
